While most high-tech workers are familiar with Santa Clara and Yokohama, less is known of Lausanne – the city we’ve chosen to locate our R&D center, and the place where Z-RAM was invented.

Lausanne, the Olympic city is a predominantly French-speaking international city on the northern shore of Lake Geneva. Lausanne has great access to the rest of Europe. Paris for instance, is an easy train ride away and Geneva can be reached by train or car in about half an hour. Zürich is two and a half hours away. Weekend visits to Venice or Rome, Munich or Vienna are very practical and Geneva airport is very well served with low cost flights to many other European destinations.

The range of sporting activities is unmatched. Lake Geneva is ideal for sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, or simply walking, swimming and sunbathing on the shore. For sightseeing, the Alps offer inspiring scenery that can be enjoyed by hiking or mountain biking. In winter several cross-country and downhill ski resorts are easily accessible from Lausanne, for example, the world-renowned ski areas of Verbier and the Portes du Soleil are only one hour away.

Lausanne also offers a large variety of cultural activities. At least seven theatre groups give performances year round. For music lovers, there is the Lausanne Chamber Music Orchestra as well as the famous annual Jazz Festival of Montreux, amongst other events. Lausanne is also home to the famous Ballet Béjart, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic museum.

Following a long-standing Swiss tradition, Lausanne and its suburbs house several high-quality international schools which teach in the English language at the elementary, secondary, high-school and college levels.

Switzerland has a high quality of life, political stability, and great security, not to mention the best banks, watches, cheese chocolate and memory technology in the world!
